Exhausted!!

 This is my lovely orientation group standing in that little nook on campus that you have to walk down a steep hill to get to.

Mallory showed us this  in our campus tour. There are a lot of interesting things on campus that schools in the US could not have, like a garden of every poisonous plant to animals and also a large animal surgery suite outside! They are building a brand new building for large animal surgerys, but I still thought it was unique to perform surgery with the breeze and view of palm trees and the ocean.

 This was when Jenny, her family, and I snuck onto the Marriot beach. The Marriot is a really nice resort here, one in which my family will most likely stay when they visit (;

 Swim-up bar at the Marriot....need I say more! So awesme! Ross University students are able to use it with fairly no no problems.

 So I stood by this cool tree to get a great picture and my feet were attacked by fire ants....awesome.

 Beers on the island tour....why not. You are allowed to walk around anywhere with an open bottle of anything. You are also allowed to drive with open bottles, but of course, drinking and driving is illegal.

 This is an old fort from when the British and French were still fighting over the island. Yes that is a long pocahontas braid I am sporting, I thought it was appropriate living on an island and all.

 I think this sums up the island tour well.

 So aaaallll the way on the other hill if you look very carefully you will see Caroline, Jenny, and myself standing. My camera is not the best (I am investing in a new one).

 So there are A LOT of dogs and cats on the island that just walk around. I did not call them strays because they most likely belong to someone. We were instructed to leave the dogs and cats alone because it has happened very often that Ross University students scoop up the animals and take them home when they belong to a local. I will adopt an island dog because it is not difficult to bring them home. You have to jump through many hoops and also spend a lot of money to bring a dog here because this is a no rabies island. Students do have large dogs because I saw a great dane the other day!!! Mallory also said another sudent that wears a button down shirt and tie to school everyday ( I find that honorable yet very hot for him!) has a newfoundland that goes to the beach and lays in the water...haha legitimately like a huge bear laying in the ocean. I hope I see this happen.

 Volcanic rock, yes there are I believe 2 dormant volcanoes on the island. Yikes!

 Sunrise....mmmm so pretty to start my day of school with a cup of coffee looking at this....

 So at Shipwreck beach there are silver back monkeys that come as close to you as a pigeon would! They will take the fruit or whatever food you have right out of your hand!

I ordered a typical sara drink of malibu pineapple and cranberry juice and the bartender dubbed it the Sara Drink...So Jenny ordered it. Probably not the best way to start things off by having a drink named after me, but oh well.

 Catamaran trip today....fun fun fun!!

 It was slightly windy...

 We stopped to snorkel which was awesome. The water is so salty that it is difficult to swim down, you remain quite bouyant.

 So funny story. Earlier in the week our group was at dinner and one of Mallory's friends approached Jenny and I telling us that her neighbor had left the island and was looking to sell a lot of her stuff. So the next day Jenny and I went over to her house and were literally snooping through all of this girls things and bargaining prices, I felt like a garbage picker...but it is like survival of the fittest, you search out things to survive. It's not like "oh I would really like a Ninja blender let me run up to Walmart"....it's more like "HOLY CRAP my neighbors friend is selling a  Ninja blender on her front porch at sunset by the mango tree, I'm going to go get it and bargain a price!" Needless to say I was excited to get the Ninja blender and other staples, like a george foreman, pots, pans, bookcase, ect.

 Jenny and I got a car!!!! Woop Woop!!!

 ooo am I driving somewhere or am I the passenger....

I was driving, steering wheel is on the right side...during my test drive it was difficult for me to spacially realize the whole other side of the car was on my left. I am just not used to it. So the car dealer's (it was Freddy's used cars lot which consisted of a dirt and grass field with 6 cars parked eratically) wife was sitting on the passengers side with the window open and tree branches kept hitting her inthe face because I was too close to the curb...haha she said it was fine but her 2 year daughter sitting behind her was heckling me...what the hell I am from out of town man! So the car did not make any wierd noises and the AC worked...can you say sold...
