Batik and Test Zenning

Pretty flower on campus near the turtles...I was tyring to be artsy..my camera did a pretty good job.

So I bought this awesome leash and collar for my sweat Angel at home ooorrr my future island adopted dog!! I realize I am jumping the gun, but the club on campus selling these will not be selling them anymore...so it was non-negotiable, I had to purchase it.

This is a really pretty saraong type of clothe. It is made using a technique called batik where they use wax to form desins and then continuously dye the fabric different times and with different layers of wax. The more the colors in the fabric, the more dips they have done.

Where they work on the batik material

Wall demonstrating what the fabric looks like after each dip. They are the square palm tree pictures in a row. This is a big touristy spot, but it produces pretty fabric and you get what you pay for because they go through a lot of work.
I had my first tests today!!! Ahhhhh!! Four all together, so pretty intense. My wonderful friend Dannibe e-mailed me some motivation...that was very special and I am pretty sure I got all A's because of this outstanding drawing (;

Orion dosen't like it when I study, niether do I big guy...

But we still hang out while I study, he gets a little crabby when I want to spread my papers into his area...

Sooo I retreat to my room study area to give him his space..haha
A B-E-A-utiful view of the island from my friend's bedroom balcony! It was nice to zen-out looking at this after exams...
