First time in scrubs on the island!

So I passed all my tests!!!! Yay, I live to study another day! I thought taking four tests in two hours was going to be horrific, but it turned out most people finished in one hour..I usually take my time so it took me a bit longer. Anyways, I feel confident now that I will make it to next semester without too much trouble. I have a countdown to my white coat ceremony on my desk top, of course. The day after our exams we had our applications class in which we are able to physically interact with patients. We had to put on scrubs or a lab coat because we were going to the barn area on campus to hang out and talk about a lame horse. The horse, I forgot the poor guys name, had been lame on his left front forelimb for awhile. He is a retired race horse, so his enlarged carpus is most likely a result of his previous profession.  He was super nice to let us palpate his booboo area.

Jenny and I in our scrubs!

Kristen and I in our scrubs..note to self, do not take any more pictures on campus because we got in trouble for this one. (we are not allowed to take pictures on campus, just a professional school rule I guess)

Here are some pictures of our amazing volleyball team!! This is our very first game which was considered practice, so it doesn't matter that we were murdered! This court is infront of a bar called Elvis's on "the strip."

Here is our third game, which we won!! Our two first games that count we have won, beacuse we are awesome...This court is infront of a bar called Mongoose's and it is on south friars beach I believe. It is right next to shipwreck beach where the monkeys drink till their drunk!

Obviously I am always in the proper volleyball stance because I come from a hardcore background of volleyball playing (;

Most of the team enjoying a mango coolada after our victory!!

What a realaxing Saturday with some great ladies... this is probably one of my more favorite beaches. We went to Reggae Beach this saturday and realaxed. It has the best, most clear water to swim in that I have seen yet. My friend Lindsey informed me that the bar and beach are owned by a husband of a veterinarian that teaches at Ross University...so my next proposition for RJ is this, hey babe do you wanna open a bar on the beach and I will practice veterinary medicine on a carribean island?? We'll see what he says, perhaps he could be the island "human" doctor on the side...ahhh to dream (:

We noticed people coming on this dock with suitcases and boating off to Nevis. It would be pretty wild to fly into St. Kitts and then have to hop on a little boat with your suitcases to get to your hotel on Nevis...I am unsure if Nevis has an airport, but after seeing this I doubt it.

So a very infortunate event happened about a week ago that forced Jenny to travel home. Her grandfather passed away so she left and I looked after little Orion for her. Here is Orion making himself at home in my room while she was gone...though he has a tendency to randomly attack me at times, I still love him (:

We are all so thankful that you were kind enough to watch after Orion so Jenny could come home. Thanks a lot Sara!

BTW, a little "Maltese" named Savannah was one of the stars of the Puppy Bowl today!

Love, Carole (Jenny's mom)

No problem Mrs. Vokral! I am glad Jenny made it there and back safely. She was anxious to get home and be with her family.
