So sorry for the lack of posts, I have been quite busy. I am sure that this first semester pales in comparison to upper semesters, however, I am finding it challenging nonetheless. I really only want to study anatomy. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy nutrition and microanatomy some days...and even physio can be interesting on occasion. I just find anatomy exceedingly interesting. The trick with anatomy is that not only do you have to study and retain everything for one test, you have to retain that same knowledge for the next ~6 months as every anatomy test until the end of anatomy II is cummulative. I have one under my belt, haha, so we shall see how that goes.
My schedule creates for an exhausted Sara come the weekend. Every morning up at 5:30, exercise Arthur, class till about 3:00, TA sessions most days till about 4-5:00, and then home to exercise Arthur, eat and study some more! Not the most ideal life one would choose for themselves, but it will not last forever (at least that is what I tell myself to get me through it). I passed my first round of exams with decent grades, so I am happy about that (: It is 5 days until my second round of exams occurs, so wish me luck!!
I was fortunate to have RJ come visit these past ~2 weeks! It was a great time! So happy I got to take a little break and have fun while he visited.
RJ and I eating lunch at port after we got him his very own "island cell phone."
The first weekend RJ was here on friday we went to Reggae beach where they had a lobster fest going on. There was a buffet and rum punches, yum!
The girls and myself at lobster-fest.
On saturday we went on a catamaran cruise to Nevis (St. Kitts sister island). There were definitely some celebratory drinks that the first round of exams were completed!
It was a tad windy.
Some dancing was also shared after the rum punches of course...
RJ did not appreciate how hot it was on the catamaran..all the dancing worked up quite a bit of persperation on his part. (note the cute puppy on at his feet!)
On Nevis we ran into a stray dog on the beach that looked exactly like Arthur!! It must have been Arthurs dad!!
RJ wanted to take him home, he was just a little bit more mold mannered than 6 month old Arthur..
I think Arthur is just as calm as this dog, I have no idea what RJ is talking about (;
RJ surprised me and we went to a restaurant called Nirvana, where we sat at our own private table on a balcony, and we had our own waiter...very romantic (as my dad would say he filled up my emotional bank account).
Most nights were just low key pizza and a movie (: (Arthur always joined in)
So I skipped a class to hang out with RJ...a little rebellion is good for a stressed out vet student!
